Bruce Sheets

Bruce A. Sheets, age 49, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, May 3, 2018 and is home in Heaven. Bruce was an amazing husband and best friend to his wife, Gerrie; a great son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who got to know him while he was here. Bruce was an amazing man and did many wonderful things! Thank you for everything that you taught us all, from your wife and kids all the way to the strangers you had met. You touched each one of us in a very special way! We will never forget all of the fun times we had. For your granddaughter - you were such a great papa! She loved you so much and she will always love you. We will make sure she knows you! Please watch over her as you are now her guardian angel. Bruce served the Lord faithfully! We have no doubt that when he ran to Jesus, embraced him, the Lord said "Well done my good and faithful servant". Bruce - Have fun dancing and singing with the Lord and all of our relatives that you are able to see again. You were far too young and we were supposed to have many years left with you. You will be dearly missed by many. We love you so much and miss you already! Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Gary Sheets; father and mother-in-law, Teunis & Joyce VanHetHekke; and brother-in-law, Richard VanHetHekke. Bruce is survived by his wife, Gerrie; son Nathan (Kimberly) Sheets of Castle Rock, CO; daughter, Morgan (Jeremy) Molewyk of Zeeland; granddaughter, AddieMae Molewyk; mother, Helen (Dwight) Beebe; step-mother, Carol (Dale) Sheldon; step-father, Joe (Diana) Arens; brother, Brian (Rebecca) Sheets; and sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Mark) Bowman and Melissa (Matt) VanHetHekke-Smith. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch St., Zeeland, MI 49464. Funeral services are at 11:00 am on Monday, May 7, 2018 also at Community Reformed Church, officiated by Rev. Greg TenBrink. Memorial contributions may be given in Bruce's honor to the Bruce Sheets Grandchildren's Education Fund. Burial to take place in Vriesland Cemetery.
