Bruce N. Waffle, 86, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at his home in San Antonio, Texas.
Private burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Cremation will take place under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline.
Bruce Neil Waffle was born March 30, 1937, in Moline, the son of Morris and Lois (Hudson) Waffle. He served in the U.S. Army and married Cecilia Vargas on October 3, 1959, in Lawrence, Kansas. She died February 18, 1998.
Bruce worked at Radio Shack as a manager for over 17 years. He also worked at Sunkist Banking and as a dealer at Rhythm City Casino.
He was a former member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, collected salt and pepper shakers, and was a HAM radio operator.
Bruce is survived by his children, Gina (Hector) Mendoza, Steven Waffle, Christopher (Helen) Waffle, Robin Waffle, and James Waffle; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Cheryl Smith, Gary Waffle and Daniel Waffle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sons, Rick and Jeff Waffle; and a grandson, Matthew Waffle.
