Bruce Watkins Obituary
Bruce Lynn Watkins, 80, transitioned from this life on Monday, February 12, 2024. Born on August 21, 1943, in Arlington, Texas, Bruce was the beloved child of the late Thurman Watkins and Frances (Anderson) Watkins. He was also preceded in death by his dear sister, Margaret Fisher.
Bruce leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of his daughter, LeAnn Watkins, residing in Hico, Texas; his son, Wayne Watkins, based in Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Coley Howell and Karissa Howell-Burden; as well as his sisters, Lucy Tidwell, Dot Golden and her husband, George Golden, Gayle Gann, and Lisa Stephens. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Remembered for his keen intellect and inventive spirit, Bruce dedicated his professional life to serving as a surveyor for the city government. Beyond his work, he found solace and joy in the great outdoors, finding peace in the pursuits of hunting and fishing. Above all, Bruce treasured his family dearly, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A graveside service honoring Bruce's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Moore Memorial Gardens, in Arlington, Texas.
