Mr. Bruce Monroe White, age 83, of Dobson, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 1, 1942, in Surry County, to the late Fox Monroe White and the late Annie Victoria Stanley White. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Betty Rodgers White; daughter, Renee Snow and David Hammond; son and daughter-in-law, Billy J “BJ” Snow and Rose Snow; grandchildren Aaron Lee Hooker, William Jacob Hooker, Stephanie Renee Snow, Billy Snow Jr., Bridgett Rose Snow, and Emma Grace Hammond; his sister, Donna White Lupton and husband Bill; his brother, Dennis White, several nieces and nephews; special friends, Will Lindsey and Earl Wilmoth Jr.; and special fur baby, Theo.
Mr. White was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, worked at Westinghouse, and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, the NC State Wolfpack, and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed fishing and running his knife shop and spending time with his friends there. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Beamer White; his daughter, Christine White Bissette; and a sister, Linda White Johnson.
Visitation for Mr. White will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Fairview Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, in the church, with Pastor Scott Coleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the White family.
