Brunhilde Burt Obituary
PIQUA -- Brunhilde S. "Hilda" Burt, 86, of Piqua, passed away at 7:37 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1935 in Germany to the late Karl and Selma (Elter) Krikowa. She married Clarence J. Burt in 1954. He preceded her in death September 20, 2015.
Survivors include five children, Marlin "Ike" (Linda) Burt, David (Gaye) Burt, Diana (Bill) Dill, all of Piqua, James (Cheyenne) Burt of Dayton, Patricia (Kirk) Daniel of Louisville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Audra Elkington, Aaron Daniel, Karl Daniel, Kathleen Daniel, Dianna Burt, Karrstyn Burt, Amy Burt, Keighly Burt; five great grandchildren, Dylan Elkington, Lena Elkington, Myla Elkington, Noah Daniel-Johnson, Madeline Hannahan; and her close friend and caregiver, Terri Burt. She was preceded in death by a brother, Siegfried Kirkowa; and a sister, Rosa Weddle.
Hilda was a high school graduate and worked as a Supervisor, retiring from the Elm Packaging Company. She enjoyed frequenting the casinos and playing Bingo. She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her family. Additionally, she was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
A private service to honor her life will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4847, 8756 N. County Rd. 25A, Piqua, OH 45356. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
