MARIANI, Bruno, age 65, passed away on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Susan (née Klabius) Mariani for 39 wonderful years. Devoted father of Christina (Christopher) Urban and Michelle (Kevin) Dyer. Adored son of Michele and the late Maria Mariani. He is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loyal friends.
Bruno was born in Ceprano, Italy and immigrated with his parents to Sterling Heights in 1972. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1984. He grew up next door to Sue, and together they shared a lifelong bond that began as childhood neighbors and friends, leading to their first date in 1981. Bruno was the first member of his extended family to graduate from high school and from college. He began his career as a Drafting Engineer, and went on to build a reputation as a hardworking, dedicated and trusted colleague throughout his lifelong career as a Project Manager in tool and die shops. He took immense pride in his work as he truly loved what he did and the people he worked alongside.
In 1994, Bruno and Sue moved to Romeo to raise their family. He loved to work outside in the yard, which included putting up thousands and thousands of Christmas lights around the house. Bruno also looked forward to many snowmobile trips. He especially loved pulling the kids behind him on their sleds around the backyard. A passionate sports fan, Bruno played multiple sports in high school and remained devoted to his favorite teams, particularly the Detroit Red Wings.
Bruno's pride and joy were his two girls. He was the perfect example of what it meant to be a family man - loving, devoted, selfless, and always putting his family first. He was a man of great integrity, kindness, compassion, and humor, even putting on dance shoes to dance with the girls at their recitals. Bruno was the best husband, dad, and friend. His legacy will live on through the love he gave and the countless memories he created with those who knew him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28th from 3p-8p and Friday, August 29th from 9:00am until the time of the 10am Funeral Service. Visitation and Service both held at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Please share memories with the family on their Online Guest Book at WujekCalcaterra.com
