Bruno Rahn Obituary

Bruno Rahn

March 28, 1950 - October 29, 2025

Bruno Frederick Rahn, 75, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2025.

He was born on March 28, 1950, to Dr. Bruno and Ina (Pulver) Rahn in Chippewa Falls. Bruno graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1968 and continued his education at University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, earning his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. On January 8, 1972, he married the love of his life, Patricia Dana, and together they raised two children, Bruno III and Rebecca.

Bruno worked at Pregent Furniture and Thorp Finance and later, in 1977, he started his career as a Loan Officer at Anchor Bank where his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor made him a cherished colleague until his retirement in 2012. Bruno was actively involved in the community. He was a founding member of the Chippewa Fire Protection District and served for more than 20 years. He held several positions including Training Officer, Public Information Officer, and Deputy Chief for Station 3 in Lafayette. He was also a first responder and EMT. Bruno was elected to the Lafayette Town Board as a Supervisor from 1995-2015 and represented Lafayette on the district Fire Board. He was outgoing and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bruno enjoyed golfing, his Canadian fishing trips, traveling, and building happy memories by attending his children's and grandchildren's school and sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat; two children, Bruno (Melissa) Rahn and Rebecca (Jared) Brustad; grandchildren, Sydney and Sophia Rahn; sisters, Kristine Dimock and Aimee (Don) Roberts; brother-in-law, Bill Schwandt, and many nieces and nephews.

Bruno was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jane Schwandt, and brother-in-law, Jim Dimock.

A visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM, Friday, November 7, 2025 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls followed by a private committal service at Bateman cemetery. The family invites guests to join them for lunch at the Sandbar and Grill restaurant at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Lafayette or Anson Fire Stations or to donor's choice.
