Bryan Davies Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Services of Iowa at Ankeny Memorial (MSI) on Dec. 12, 2025.
Bryan Christopher Davies, known to his Firestone friends as "Speed Bump," known to Jennifer as husband, best friend, high school sweetheart, soul mate, lifelong partner, known as Dad to their four children, and Papa to their four grandchildren, passed away suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Madrid, Iowa, on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.) with a prayer service immediately following at 3:00 p.m.

Bryan was born December 26, 1968, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration. Bryan retired at 52 years old, after 24 years of employment with Bridgestone/Firestone, and spent his days of retirement raising chickens, ducks, and most importantly "managing" Papa's Daycare for his grandchildren, Wayne, Henry, Lincoln, and Caroline.

Jennifer wants to thank Bryan for their incredible 39 years together, 32 of those years in marriage, where he always made sure she knew how important their love for each other and the time they spent together meant to him. If you knew Bryan at all, you knew he was a very straightforward, "tell it like it is" man. He had a very strong moral compass, and made sure their children strived for the same. He did everything in a big way - big laughs, big sarcasm, big family, big house, big opinions, and big politics... but always with a big heart!!

Bryan is survived by his wife, Jennifer; children, Garret (Jaeda), Makynze (Osheen), Maverick (Harmony), and Dalton; four grandchildren; parents, Michael and Cynthia; siblings, Elizabeth (Ken) and Brandon; as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
