Bryan Thomas Jr. age 99, of Shelbyville, TN passed from this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Carriage House Assisted Living under the care of Aveanna Hospice.
Born on February 24, 1926, in Shelbyville, TN to the late William Bryan Thomas and Nannie Deason Thomas. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and he was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas was a hard worker and started many businesses during his life with the majority of his life being spent in the horse equipment business as he was the original founder of World Champion Horse Equipment.
Mr. Thomas loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. His drive and tenacity inspired all of those around him.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his loving wife; Jane Frazier Thomas, children; David (Joan) Thomas, and Dana Thomas, all of Shelbyville, TN, grandchildren; Katie (Heath) Smith of Shelbyville, TN, Charlie (Kelsey) Thomas, of Christiana, TN, great grandchildren; Emma Jane Smith, Jameson, Jayden, Gemma, and Georgia Thomas, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings; Mary Alice Anderson, Rose Crews, and Lucille Bryant.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Saturday May 3, 2025, at the chapel of Doak- Howell Funeral Home with Jeff Rasnick officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service beginning at 2 PM at the funeral home.
The family of Mr. Thomas would like to thank Carriage House Inn and all of those that loved and cared for him for the last nine years.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cooper Christian Academy (PO Box 6 Shelbyville, TN 37162).
