Bryan Waters Obituary
With a heart as wide as the Montana sky and a wit that could light up a room, Bryan Lynn Waters, age 70, passed peacefully on June 25, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle – a loyal friend and a steady, quiet presence whose love was felt more in action than in words.
Born in October 1954 in Wolf Point, Montana, Bryan Lynn Waters was the son of Dale and Louella Waters and one of five siblings: Mary W. Daws, Carmen Waters, Carla Waters and David Waters. From an early age, Bryan showed an intense curiosity for the world around him and a creative spark. He was artistic by nature and would later graduate with an art degree specializing in gold smithing, and he developed a deep joy and expertise in digital media creation and photography.
Bryan attended Dawson Community College and later Montana State University, where he continued to nurture his creative talents. Over the years, he worked in jewelry stores in Billings, Honolulu, and Glendive, combining craftsmanship with an eye for detail. His artistic spirit also found its way into the community. He designed original pieces for local events, including artwork created for the Centennial Class Reunion, Montana Escrow Association, and Richey's Diamond Jubilee USPS Special Cancellation, leaving his mark in both personal and public spaces.
Bryan was a calm, kind, and grounded presence. Patient and steady, he carried a quiet strength that spoke volumes of his kind, loving nature. He loved spending time with family, especially his nieces, nephew, grand nieces and grand nephews. He spoke often-and with deep appreciation-about his memories on the family farm. It was a place that rooted him and remained close to his heart.
He will be deeply missed by his family, who will forever cherish his quiet strength, gentle humor and the steady love he gave us so freely. Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, July 26th, at the Stockman Bank Community Room in Richey any time between 3 and 5 pm to share memories, connect with family and friends, and to honor Bryan’s life. There will be no formal service, just time together to remember Bryan. Light refreshments will be served.
