Bryan White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Day Funeral Service - Gahanna on Feb. 16, 2026.
Bryan Gene White, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at 9:05AM at Doctor's Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1970, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Born to Harold White Sr. and Connie Christine White of Portsmouth, Ohio Bryan grew up surrounded by a close and loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Christine White and Harold Gene White Sr; his brother, Harold White Jr.; and his sister, Bonita Fayson.

Bryan was a man known for his warm and friendly nature. His kindness was genuine, and he carried it with him everywhere he went-whether offering a helping hand or sharing a laugh.

Bryan had a deep compassion for others, especially those facing hardship. He volunteered at Jordan's Crossing, where he dedicated his time and energy to supporting the unhoused community. His willingness to serve and uplift others spoke to the heart of who he was: someone who cared deeply and acted selflessly.

He loved the simple joys of life. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, a place where he found peace and connection with the world around him. Bryan was also a devoted sports fan. He proudly cheered for the Oklahoma Sooners, the Washington Commanders, and the Georgetown Hoyas, celebrating every victory and staying loyal through every season.

Bryan leaves behind his children-Dion Gamble, Audrey Sissel, and Areyana Palmer; his sister, Lorna (Chris) Poore of Columbus, Ohio; his brother, Mark Gilchrist of Portsmouth, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews and many family and friends who loved him.

Bryan has made a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
