Bryson Graham Read

Bryson Graham Read, age 26, of Nashville, TN, originally from Henderson, KY, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his home.

Bryson was lucky enough to have a life full of love, family, and friends. He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in December of 2021. He was a world traveler and was an enthusiastic consumer of other cultures and experiences. He lived by the seat of his pants and was always eager for the next adventure. To know Bryson was to love him; he never met a stranger. He was always the brightest person in the room and that will not ever go away. He was someone who wouldn't stop until everyone around him was happy. To say people gravitated towards him was an understatement. Bryson was beyond his years. He stood up for what he believed in, and you never had to guess what he was thinking. Bryson would have wanted everyone to turn off the noise and turn on the music.

Bryson was preceded in death by his memaw Sue Gail LaFlair and her husband Richard LaFlair, maternal grandfather Ronald Carl McClure, paternal grandmother Naomi Jean Wheat, paternal grandfather Edward Read, Sr., and uncle Charles Clarence Read.

Bryson is survived by his mother and stepfather Heather and Bruce Simmons of Henderson, KY; father Edward Read, Jr. and his wife Casey of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters: Amanda Simmons (Brian Robards II) of Henderson, KY; Sarah Carney (TJ) of New Albany, IN, Erica Read of Charlestown, IN, and Morgan Kovacevic (Nihad) of Charlestown, IN; brother Joshua Melton (Kayla) of Henderson, KY; nieces and nephews: Kade Jaxon Melton, Emalyn Marie Robards, Koston Keith Robards, Ryan Montgomery Whalin, Hayden Read Whalin, Cooper Rose Atchison, and Patricia Grace Atchison; aunts, uncles, and cousins. As well as his love Kelli, and dearest friends Payton, Devin, and Max and beloved by so many others (it would take a lot to name them all).

Relatives and friends are invited to Bryson's Life Celebration from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 12:00 p.m. until the service time on Monday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday March 30, 2026, at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.

Pallbearers will be Devin Bendel, Payton Chreene, Joshua Melton, Kade Melton, Scott McClure, and Brian Robards. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Whalin and Koston Robards.
