R.I.P. Buck; Your passing touched the hearts of many Australians too; God bless your family.

2 Cor.1:9 In fact, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death. This was that we might have our trust, not in ourselves, but in the God who raises up the dead.

This Ohioan never had the pleasure of meeting Buck, but as a lover of horses and all God's creatures, I knew I had to write something in his guest book. Buck -may your family find peace in your great sacrifice.

My heart sank on that tragic day watching the breaking news in West knowing all the family I have there. Hoping and praying that no one was hurt in the explosion... 14 brave souls died that day. My cousin, Buck, died a selfless hero. May God bless the town of West and bring peace and comfort to my Uptmor family.

May knowing you're in the hearts and thoughts of others help you and yours through this time of sorrow.

I will miss you allot Buck. You were the greatest person i ever known . I love you cousin.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Uptmor family. We didnt know Buck but from what we have read he was a great person. Our son works with his wife. May he Rest In Peace.

We were sadden to hear about the loss of a great person. My son still talks about going to Buck's place with his Pa'Pa Ed to work cows... Memories that will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, and give strength to your family and friends during this time.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers reach out to your family and friends. We rode through West the Saturday before and we felt at home,we felt like we were part of this town\communitity. We have always felt welcome. We are Texans! Its folks like Buck, giving, caring, that we should hope to be like. Our Lord has plans for him we can't understand now, but may in the future.

I am from Austin and now live in Los Angeles, so I didn't know Buck Uptmor, but from reading about him I can say he sounds like someone I would have liked to have known, a decent and kind man who died helping a friend. I am so sorry for your loss.

Buck gave me the tools to succeed and make a better life for myself. I have him to thank for the life I have now. Buck taught me so much. you will never be forgotten my dear friend. thank you Uptmor family for allowing Buck to touch my life the way he did. I will always remember running wire with Bill or fishing with the boys. My heart goes out to the family may you find peace..

Bev, I remember how much you loved horses when we were growing up in Tours. That gene certainly seems to have been passed to Buck. My heartfelt condolences to you and Billy.

He was a warrior running into battle, and I am proud to be related to him, and know his parents Billy and Beverly.
May the loss of your son heal over time, and I know 2nd hand that losing a child is one of the most painful losses for any parent.
