Buddy L. Selby

Buddy L. Selby, age 82, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at The Loft of Peoria.
Buddy was born on January 21, 1943 in Tekonsha, MI to Donald L. and Barbara (Spence) Selby. He married Wanda Irene Trueblood on November 5, 1960 in Tekonsha. She preceded him in death on November 11, 1997. Also preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his three sons, Randall (Wendy) Selby of Peoria, Scott Selby of Peoria and Martin (Danielle) Selby of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his sister, Linda (Danny) Montgomery of Port Charlotte, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Buddy served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963 and then worked as a Millwright for Caterpillar for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was a loyal member of the UAW and a member of the American Legion of Chillicothe. Buddy enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 11am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Rev. Bob Hentrich will officiate. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials in Buddy's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Chillicothe American Legion.
