Mr. Whiting served our country Honorably in the United States Navy. He worked as a commercial fisherman for several years.
Burt is survived by his loving daughter, Christy Bixby of Woonsocket.
All services are being held privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls, RI.
