Mr. Burton Eugene Brown, Jr., 61, of Walnut Cove, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born to the late Burton Eugene Brown, Sr., and Ruth Harris Brown on January 30, 1962, in Forsyth County. Burton started playing music, specifically the drums, at age 5 while attending church. He later became a singer and loved everything heavy metal. He was a member of the band Meat Rocket and played in numerous others in his lifetime. Burton owned and operated Brown’s Kennels for over 20 years, where he raised and bred American Bullies. He will always be remembered for his passions in life, being music and his dogs. In addition to his parents, Burton is preceded in death by his stepmother, Agnus Faye Robbins, and sister, Bonnie Pennington. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kelly Brewer Brown; son, Dustin Brown (Amanda); grandson, Bentley Ferguson; three stepdaughters, and his beloved dogs, Beckii2x, Poppa Pump, Super Fly, Lieutenant Dan, 81, Lil Yachty, Pay Pal, Baby Slice, Bodika, Rowena, Abdullah, Fiesty, Bomb Queen, Sheagia, Moolah, Stud, Hawk, and Coco. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 3:30pm to 8:00pm at Winston Lake Park. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.

This was one of the coolest guys. I'll never forget him bringing me a signed CD and going to his show. Always humble. Rock and roll in heaven Burt. You will be missed.
