Buster Joseph Fresina

Buster, age 94, born in Independence, LA and resident of Walker, LA went to his heavenly home on June 12, 2023. He was a U.S. Army Corporal and a very proud Korean War veteran. Buster retired from the Department of Agriculture after 35 years of service and also ran for Commissioner of Agriculture. He was the owner of Fresina Pasta Co. and Executive Director for Bayou Breeze Productions. Buster loved gardening. He also loved to make homemade Italian sausage and pasta. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Buster is survived by his wife Phyllis Monistere Fresina; Sons Frank Joseph Fresina (Linda) and Anthony "Tony" Fresina (Kathy); Grandchildren Bonnie Boudreaux (Jason), Becky Fresina, Brandi Fresina (Derek Goodman), Daniel Fresina (Brittany), Tiffani Weishar (Kyle), Hannah Chaisson (Seth); and Great-Grandchildren Johnathan, Logan, Riley, Reagan, Gia, and Fiona.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Frances Fresina, and grandson Dylan Fresina.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, LA. on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Deacon William "Byrd" Corbett with interment to follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
