Buzzie Blalock

Commerce - Mr. Willard Daniel "Buzzie" Blalock, age 81, of Commerce, GA died Friday, March 13, 2026 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Blalock was born in Commerce to the late Willard Boyd and Yvonne Wood Blalock. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and song leader. He was retired from Baldor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Dixon Blalock; and son, Andy Blalock.

Mr. Blalock is survived by his daughter, LeAnne DeFrancesco (Rob) of Alexandria, VA; sisters, Joy Williams of Commerce and Lou Hambrick of Nicholson; brother, Don Blalock of Commerce; three grandchildren, Andrew (Braylee), Robby and Emma; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, March 15 at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Burns and Rev. Terry James officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
