Byron Paul Duhon

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Byron Paul Duhon, 52, who passed away on August 5, 2012 at 10:30 pm at his residence. Reverend Michael Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Gift bearers will be his nieces Elina Soileau, Morgan Duhon, Mia Johnson and Brandy Suire. Interment will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Maurice, LA. Mr. Duhon, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of Donald J. Duhon and the former Louise Landry of Maurice, Louisiana. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He is survived by his mother, Louise Mouton of Lafayette; his father, Donald J. Duhon; his stepmother, Molena G. Duhon both of Leroy; his son, Patrick Donald Rae of Lafayette; his sister, Donelle L. Duhon of Maurice; his brother, Gary K. Duhon & his wife Lena S. Duhon of Carencro; his grandsons, Caleb & Elliot Rae; his step sisters, Alberta Roy and Bethani Oakman and his step brother, David Skidmore. He is also survived by his spiritual advisor Tim Maragos, and best friend Buzz Durio as well as his beloved pets, Piper & Beatle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claude & Elina Hebert Landry; his paternal grandparents, Robert E. Anite Sonnier Duhon; brother, Dwight J. Duhon; stepfather, Elmo P. Mouton and his nephew, Cody L. Suire. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Jimmy Soileau and Ethan Duhon, uncles, Charles Duhon and Kenneth Landry, as well as Buzz Durio and Donovan Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of Bill Wilson.
