I was sad to hear of the passing of Byron and send my hearatfelt condolences to his immediate and extended family. The Walther family and Martin Family, which I am a part of, were pioneers in the early establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anchorage, Alaska. We entertwined with each other through the years of primary, Sunday School, MIA, Young Adults, etc. I am grateful that I still keep in touch with Barbara and Delores. I remember Brother and Sister Walther so well. Hearing of Byron's passing brought back many treasured memories with the family, especially with Byron's two oldest sisters. Please know how much I love your family and the impact they had on my life. Byron was the Bishop of my sister, Evelyn's, ward when she passed away in 1993. Byron was so appreciated for his tender care of my family as we gathered for Eve's funeral. It was if we didn't need to worry about any arrangements because Byron took care of our requests and needs.
