C. Kriebel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory - Perkasie on Dec. 7, 2025.
C. Elmer Kriebel, of Dublin, PA, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Gwynedd Healthcare in Lansdale, PA, at the age of 96.

He was the loving husband of the late Irene L. (Wrigley) Kriebel, who passed away in 1991.

Born in Dublin, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Helen (Hager) Kriebel. He was a 1946 graduate of Doylestown High School, Doylestown, PA.

Elmer proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1951.

Mr. Kriebel owned and operated Kriebel Plumbing & Heating, Dublin, PA, where he worked for nearly 40 years. Prior to purchasing the business in 1964 from his uncle Garwood, he worked alongside and was mentored by him.

He was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Dublin, PA, and a former member of Salem United Church of Christ, Doylestown, PA.

Elmer was a devoted life member of the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company for 78 years. He served as president of the fire company from 1982 until stepping down in 2013. Elmer was especially proud of Tanker 23 a truck he helped design and build. It was considered his truck by many-a reflection of his craftsmanship, dedication, and deep pride in the department he loved. Throughout his years of service, he was also active with the Relief Association as treasurer and was a member of the Bucks County Firemen's Association. In 1964, he joined the Dublin Regional EMS Ambulance Squad as an EMT and driver. He served with them for 42 years until their closing in 2007.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Elmer was a member of the Two Century Trappe Club, Doylestown, PA, and a 50-year member of the Mink Pond Club, Bushkill, PA, where Elmer and Irene spent many memorable days socializing with friends. He proudly held a record for one of the largest bear harvests in Pennsylvania, weighing in at 507 pounds. Elmer especially cherished spending time with his granddaughter, Kelsey, who often joined him on fishing trips and whom he lovingly called his "good luck charm." He was also a former member of the Dublin Lions Club.

He is survived by his son, Kim Kriebel, and his wife, Anne, of Bedminster Township; his granddaughter, Kelsey Sharp, and her husband, Scott; and two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Brooks. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Kriebel, who passed away on April 14, 2017. He was also a loving companion of Elaine McGeady of Dublin, PA.

His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 141 S. Main Street, Dublin, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery, 215 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dublin Volunteer Fire Company, 194 N. Main Street, P.O. Box 283, Dublin, PA 18917.

Arrangements are by Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
