C. Janell Lochard

C. Janell Lochard, 104, of Wapakoneta, passed away 7:46 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 12, 1921, in Auglaize Co., the daughter of the late Isidor and Edith (Mosler) Schneider. On October 19, 1941, she married Elmer I. Ramga, and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1960. Then on June 21, 1965, she married Paul E. Lochard, and he passed away February 22, 2019.

5 children, Cynthia Ann (John) Klosterman, Wapakoneta,

Marian Annette (James) Kreger, Toledo, OH,

Raymond (Kathy) Lochard, Wapakoneta,

Thomas (Patricia) Lochard, Port Jefferson,

Anthony W. (Judy) Lochard, Spencerville;

former son-in-law, Karl Schlegel, Wapakoneta;

20 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Lochard, and a sister, Ruth Walther.

A homemaker, Janell was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. She was a 1939 graduate of Blume High School. Janell was a former member of the Wapakoneta Woman's Club and the Wapakoneta Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf, reading, and traveling.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Wapakoneta, with Pastor Doug Pretorius officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or The Gardens of Wapakoneta.
