C. Robert Schultz 

October 20, 1944 – September 27, 2024

C. Robert “Bob” Schultz, age 79, of Franklin Park, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 20, 1944, to the late Harold and Ruth Schultz. Bob was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather who left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Bob was the beloved father of Steven (Donna), Jennifer (Peter) Raffone, Jessica (Mark) Christian, and Sherri (Josh) Hansen. He was a cherished grandfather to Anthony, Logan, Nicholas, Zachary, Jack, Nathaniel, Camden, Luke, and Matthew, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He is survived by Kathleen Youngs, his former wife and mother of his children. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. 

He was the dear brother of Donald and is preceded in death by his brothers Harold (Charley), Allen, and Paul. 

Fond uncle of Allen (Patty) Schultz, Ed (Monica) Schultz, Tammy (Don) Reese, Charles (Colleen) Schultz, Katy (Allan) Williams, Kristy (Chuck) Harrier, Donald (Allison) Schultz, and Megan (Jason) Vivirito. Great uncle to many. Bob’s warmth and kindness extended well beyond his immediate family.

Bob enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. He also gave generously of his time including volunteering at his local church, where his dedication and spirit of service were an inspiration to many. His passion for his German heritage shone through in his love for Oktoberfest and all things German, often sharing traditions and celebrations with family and friends.

Bob’s family will forever cherish the memories of his love, laughter, and his commitment to his faith and community.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
