C. Thomas Teall, lovingly known as Tom, passed peacefully at the age of 87 after a short illness.
Tom had visions of his future as a farmer and was a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) until he met his future bride, Mary Anna, of almost 65 years on a blind date. He then changed course into a long career in Rochester, New York as a financial advisor and securities expert.
Tom and Mary Anna have been residents of the Fairfield Glade Community in Crossville, TN for the past 20 years.
Tom loved spending time with his family. He taught his grandchildren how to play Gin Rummy and then promptly beat them. Tom passed on his love of the outdoors to his children by teaching them how to fish, ski (water and snow), sail and hunt. In his later years he became an award-winning member of the Fairfield Glade Bass Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom enjoyed reading suspense novels and has a vast collection.
Mary Anna and Tom are long time members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mary Anna; children, Julie Mothorpe (Richard), Ann Marie Van Norstrand (Scott McCombs), and Michael Teall (Ellen); grandchildren, Emily, Peter (Deb), Ryan (Katlyn), Paige (James), Kaylyn (Keith), Matt (Aleshia), Katie (Sean), and Connor; 9 great grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy (Peter) Landauer; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass and interment will be Held on Wednesday, January 29 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 7503 Peavine Rd. Crossville TN.
In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Wild About Cats Rescue, 62 Sharon Dr Crossville, TN 38555, in Tom's name or have a mass said in his memory.
