Memorial Service for Caitlin Baxley, age 33, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX. Caitlin passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Tyler, TX.
Caitlin Denise Baxley was born on October 26, 1990 in Terrell, TX to Gene and Carla (Poe) Baxley. Caitlin was very active in high school where she was a cheerleader, president of the FFA chapter, and class president. Caitlin competed on an elite track team and various sports, excelling at soccer. She won numerous awards for her Agriculture Production and Science projects at major stock shows. She was a member of 4H and held numerous club and county officer positions competing in showing her beloved Zip and Teddy, public speaking, record bookkeeping, and horse judging. She was also a member of the American Paint Horse Association (APHA), American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), and the Hopkins County Animal Protection League. She had a special love for all animals.
After high school, she obtained her Associate degree, graduated from Cosmetology School, and was about to complete her Paralegal degree. Caitlin worked at VanZant Law Firm in Sherman, TX as a Paralegal. She loved and was very proud of her two boys Maddox and Landon and embraced family life with her husband Tyler.
She is survived by her husband, Tyler Evenson; sons, Maddox Lee Mayfield, Landon McCrea Evenson; brother, Jordan Wade Baxley; parents, Gene and Carla Baxley all of Sulphur Springs, TX; grandmother, Betty Noble of Winnsboro, TX; grandfather, Don Carl Poe and wife Rene of Granbury, TX and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of which she loved deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Hopkins County Animal Protection League or a shelter in your area.
