Caleb was my student at SHS and a pleasure to have in class his sophomore year. As Caleb and I got to know each other, he would come check in with me at different times throughout the day. Sometimes it was about an assignment, and sometimes it was to ask if he could work (always quietly) in the back of my room. He was funny, irreverent, curious, and charming. I´ll remember him smiling, kind, and liked by everyone who knew him. It was my privilege to be his teacher.
With my deepest sympathies,
M. Louise White

I'm going to hold you dear to my heart. I remember the days of elementary school, laughing, having fun, and much more. I'll miss the days we played baseball, basketball, and football together. I'll miss the times we would spend playing video games together. We had so much fun playing everything from Madden to Fortnite. You were always a brother to me. During our days at Idlehurst Elementary to Maplewood, we stood side by side. I treated you like a person as you did me. You never let me feel down and were always there for me. There were days I didn't have a ride home from practices, games, or even school. My family is praying for everything that's going on. I just want y'all to know that you're not the only ones grieving about this, and you're not alone. I remember his smile, his kind heart, his laugh, his respectfulness, and his entire mindset. I just want to be able to tell him we'll see each other soon. I know he's watching over us. There are no words to explain how much I remember and care for my brother you will be missed and remembered always.
