Calvin Green Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Edwards Memorial Funeral Homes - Lakewood on Nov. 19, 2025.
Calvin Lee Green was born July 5, 1981, in Tacoma, Washington to Robin Collins and Don Green. He spent most of his childhood in Roy, Washington, where he grew up running wild in the woods with his sister, Angie, his brother, Melvin, and many cousins. He later attended Centralia High School, and W.F. West High School, where he made many lifelong friends.

His proudest moment came in 2008, when his son Gauge was born. Calvin loved being a dad, and sharing his adventurous, fun-loving spirit with his son. He was also an amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews, who – as the Clay-Horse – spent many hours providing horseback rides in their younger years.

As a lover or nature, Calvin spent a lot of time outdoors. He could often be found in a garden caring for plants, out by a river or lake fishing, out in the woods camping (or just simply running amok), or out on a dirt road looking for cool rocks. He was an avid collector of awesome things. He also loved going to concerts, reading, learning new things, or just spending time with his family and friends.

He was also a dear and loyal father, son, brother, uncle and friend, who was always there to lend a hand or an ear to his loved ones.

Calvin passed away suddenly at the age of forty-four in Roy, Washington. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Alvin and Alice Green, Bob and Shirley Hicks, Frances Kruse, and Jack Kruse, his uncles; Steve Green, Alan Green, Melvin Green, and Ron Paulson, And David Shopin. his brother from another mother; Michael Jenkins, and his dear, four-legged companion; Cinder-Ella.

He is survived by his son; Gauge Green, his father; Don Green, his mother; Robin (and Paris) Collins, his sister; Angela (and Jesse) Anderson, his brother; Melvin Green, Aunt Debbie Sowles, Uncle Bob (and Elsie) Hicks and Uncle Michael (and April) Allman, his many nieces, nephews and cousins, and the surviving members of the Dirty Crew. Rest easy, Calvin.

His Celebration of Life will be held on November 22, 2025, at 2pm, at The Lacamas Community Center 32113 8th Ave S, Roy, WA 98580

After the service we will have a meal and share memories. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. Drinks and Coffee will be provided along with the main course.
