Calvin Martin "Marty" Wilson, 71, of Bennett passed away on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Marty was born in Chatham County on October 10th, 1954, to the late John Hoover and Nancy Elaine Pritchard Wilson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Greg and John Wilson.
Marty was a 1972 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School. He was the owner/operator of Wilson’s Auto Body Shop. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon. In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing and working on and seeing old classic cars. His main joy in life was spending time and making memories with his family and friends.
Left to cherish Marty’s memory are his wife of 7 years, Sarah Henderson Wilson of the home; his sons, Corey Wilson, Adam Wilson, Joshua Riggs, and Joel Riggs; his daughter, Jessica Ward; his granddaughter, Jackie Griffin; his sisters, Teresa W. Graves and her husband Ricky of Siler City, and Carolyn Wilson of Burlington; nieces & nephew, Hillary Graves, Nicole Wilson, and Cliff Graves and his wife, Tiffany; and his two great nieces, Norah & Edith Graves.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at 3 pm, at Bear Creek Baptist Church. There will be a visitation from 2-3 pm at the church, and other times at the home of Teresa & Ricky Graves. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverend Bob Wachs.
