Calvin "Mr. Chett" McCoppin Jr.

Calvin McCoppin Jr. was born in Abbeville, SC on November 27, 1971, and was called home September 14, 2025, at the age of 53. He was born to Alice (Willie) Harling, and the late Calvin McCoppin Sr. He was a proud member of The LIFE Center of Abbeville, SC where he proudly served as security. Calvin earned his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Piedmont Technical College on December 2014. He was an employee of Advance Auto Parts of Anderson, SC and Twin Chimneys Landfill of Honea Path, SC. Calvin enjoyed spending time with his family, his children, but most of all his grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades. He worked on cars, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attend his motorcycle events. Calvin was a member of Toxic Throttle MC. Calvin was a native of Lowndesville, SC where he met his wife, Tonya Callaham-McCoppin. He is survived by his four sons: Joel McCoppin, Keterrio Lyons, Raheem McCoppin and Da'Shun Burns, four daughters: Jalacey Jackson, Alexis McIntosh, Brittany McCoppin and T'Marah Jackson, eight grandsons Kaden, Austyn, A'dyn (known to him as Chocolate man), Jeremiah, Adrion( known as papa Smurf), Messiah, Cairo and Jakobi, one and only granddaughter (Da'Niyla better (known to him as "The Pooh"), one sister: Lashonia McCoppin, two brothers: Trelvis McGowan and Terrance McCoppin, and honorary brotherhood: Toxic Throttle MC. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Calvin is proceeded in death by his two brothers, David and Wallace Tillman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Lowndesville Community Center, and the burial will follow in the Belton City Cemetery. Public viewing will be on Friday, September 19 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Foggie Holloway Funeral Home. The family is at 301 Evert Dr. Piedmont SC.
