Calvin Saleem Muhammad Sr.

Calvin was my friend during the early 1980s - until the Raiders moved to LA. He would often take me with him to the Field House, where he introduced me to many of the Raiders players and coaches.

I will never forget Calvin´s kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and especially that beautiful smile. I was always impressed with his deep love and knowledge of music. I also liked that he named his trombone! I was, and remain, very grateful to have been lucky enough to have known Calvin - I have many, many good and great stories and memories of Calvin, that I will always treasure.

Rest in Peace Dear Calvin - you will be missed.

So many decades have passed and I wish I would of had a chance to say good-bye. Just to let you know I still have your Record Album and look forward in seeing you on the other side. Rest in peace my friend.

I'll miss you Calvin. Its been a long tough fight since we got you the donor you needed. I remember visiting your Mom and seeing all your track trophies.I still have your record and Warren my son remembers the coaching you gave him. I'll see you on the other side down the road. In the mean time may God bless you and keep you safe We will miss you.

I met Mr. Muhammad a few years ago while working security at the Bennett building in downtown Jax. Super nice guy; told me the story of how he got his superbowl ring. He will be missed.
