Calvin Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries on Jan. 11, 2025.
Calvin A. Schultz, 85, of Damon, Texas, traded his tractor for angel wings on January 9, 2025. He was born in Bellville, Texas, on July 19, 1939, to Arno Gus Schultz, Sr. and Evelyn (Rinn) Schultz. Calvin lived a life filled with hard work, family, and a knack for finding joy in the little things-like a shiny coin or a good laugh.
From his early days as a farmer to running Schultz Bros. Trucking, Calvin was no stranger to grit and determination. However, he often claimed his real full-time job was keeping everyone around him smiling & laughing. When not working, he could be found surrounded by family and friends, inspecting his coin collection, or hanging out at the Guy "Country Club."
Calvin has now reunited with his parents; his beloved wife and partner-in-crime, Antionette "Toni" Schultz; his brother, Arno Gus Schultz, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Allen Abel & Gilbert Meyer; sisters-in-law, Sue (Clark) Schultz and Theresa (Hackstedt) Schultz; and his nephews, Dana Schultz and Gary Meyer. They're likely collaborating on the most efficient farming and trucking operation heaven has ever seen!
Left to carry on Calvin's legacy are his children, Cyndi Chumchal and Lance Schultz and wife Amy. He also leaves behind two siblings, Kirby Schultz and Dorothy Abel, and his grandchildren, Aubrey, Whitney, and Kelsey Chumchal, and Madison, Carson, and Colson Schultz, who lovingly knew him as "Papa." Calvin also leaves LaNette Schultz, the mother of his children and business partner, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Calvin's incredible life will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas.
In Calvin's honor, the family suggests you take a day to spend with your loved ones, drink a cold one, and laugh until your sides hurt-because that's exactly what Calvin would have wanted.
Tributes and words of condolence may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (Hwy 59 South @ FM 2218), Rosenberg, Texas 77471, Phone: 281-341-8800.
