I met Calie not that long and we became instant friends. He was a very generous guy. I would like to send my condolences. May you rest in peace my friend.

Mr. Callie has been a fixture in my life since I was born. I can't remember a day without seeing him at the levee, or walking around the property. Always ready with a warm smile, a wave, word of encouragement, or a simple, "How ya'll been? Ya'll good?". He was a good, good, man, and looked out for us after my parents passed and we will always be appreciative. My dad told us a story of how he called Mr. Callie Iron Man, because he was the youngest in the friend group and always eager to show he could keep up. Getting caught on chain link fences, camping in the woods and eating what they caught, or crashing his bike into the bayou is usually how those stories went. But they always included that big smile and laugh that Mr. Callie had, and him always showing up for the next adventure. He was a good friend to my parents, and a good friend to us, and we will miss him.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
