Cameron James Mabry, a truly one-of-a-kind soul whose vibrant spirit touched all who knew him, passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 35. A free spirit through and through, Cameron lived life on his own terms, unapologetically authentic and fiercely independent. His presence was magnetic, drawing people in with his warmth, empathy, and genuine heart.
To know Cam was to know someone who saw the world differently, always embracing the unconventional and daring to live and color outside the lines. Through his walk with the Lord, creativity in music, culinary masterpieces, his compassionate words, or bold choices, he inspired others to see beauty in the unexpected. His creativity knew no bounds, and his unique perspective left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. From his art of words to the simple way he lived, Cameron brought light, love, and color into the world.
Cameron had an uncanny ability to make others feel truly seen and understood, offering kindness without hesitation and support without judgment. He was a maverick, unafraid to break the mold and chart his own path, yet always rooted in a deep love for humanity and the people around him.
Cameron's journey began as the cherished son of Mike and Jackie Mabry and grew into the role of a supportive brother to Justin (and his wife Samantha) and Mitch (and his wife Aly). His warmth extended to his adoring nieces and nephews-Olivia, Hazel, Sawyer, Hayden, and Chase-who knew him as Uncle Eyeball, the ultimate playmate. He was also a beloved grandson to Jim and Dottie Jolley and Judi Ridge. His extended family, including aunts and uncles Janeen Douglass, Judi Singer, Tim Mabry (with Nancy), Tim Vaughn, and his cousins Nolan, Samantha, Aly, Cooper, Josh, Naomi, Jeremy, Faith, and Caleb. All who will carry forward his legacy of authenticity, and kindness.
A celebration of Cameron's life will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 4pm at Moon Valley Bible Church in Phoenix, AZ where friends and family are invited to honor his memory in the same spirit of joy and freedom that he lived every day.
Though his time with us was far too short, Cam's vibrant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him. He was, and always will be, a reminder that the most beautiful lives are the ones lived boldly, compassionately, and authentically.
Rest in peace, dear Cam. You were one of a kind, and you will be deeply missed.
