Camilla Baker Eason, 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 14 at First Christian Church of Macclesfield with Pastor Melissa Acres officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson, NC.
Camilla was born on August 26, 1932 in Wilson County to the late Selby and Carolina Owens Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Eason, sisters, Barbara Tripp, Brenda Baker, Ree Williams, Judy Garris, Faye Whitley and Kay Harrell; brothers, Jackie, Billy, Kent and Martin Baker.
She was a wonderful example of how to show true love to every member of her family. After the passing of her mother in 1991, her brothers and sisters continued to get together to fellowship each Wednesday. She was a dedicated member of First Christian Church of Macclesfield. She truly valued all of the relationships she made in her 90 years including her large family, church family, and many, many friends. She never met a stranger and always had wonderful stories and memories to share. She enjoyed sitting underneath her carport talking to friends and family, going to church, quilting, and cheering on the Duke Blue Devils.
She is survived by her loving family including sister, Shelly Benson; brother, Connor Baker (Dottie); sons, Richard Eason (Lori) and Glenn Eason, Sr. (Jeanie); grandchildren, Blake Eason (Katie), Mark Eason (Allison), Samuel Eason (Lauren) and Thomas Eason; great-grandchildren, Madeline Eason, Hayes Eason and Collier Eason.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 PM at First Christian Church of Macclesfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the First Christian Church of Macclesfield.
