Camryn Hazel-Bryce Alverson

Camryn Hazel-Bryce Alverson, age 26, of Rock Hill (formally Summerville) passed away on November 9, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1999, and was a beloved daughter, friend, and caring soul who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Camryn graduated from Ashley Ridge High School (Summerville) in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College and went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University. Her passion for helping others led her to her role as Care Director at A HAND UP, where she made a profound impact on the lives of the homeless and others in need. Her work reflected her deep commitment to kindness, empathy, and service.
Those who knew Camryn will remember her as a sweet, loving, and caring individual whose smile and laughter were infectious. She had an innate ability to bring comfort to others, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Her compassionate heart, warm spirit, and generous nature made her a cherished friend and confidante.
Camryn is survived by her parents, John and Angela Alverson, who loved her deeply. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to honor Camryn's life will be held at Pioneer Church (1041 Sylvia Circle, Rock Hill, SC 29730) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to A HAND UP (https://www.ahandupsc.org/).
Camryn's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched. She will never be forgotten.
