Candace "Candy" Alphin
Pink Hill, North Carolina
Candace "Candy" Alphin, 68, of Pink Hill, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 18, 1957, to Frank "Buddy" Mervin and Bessie Mervin. Candy will be remembered for her warm heart, easy laugh, and the kindness she shared so freely with everyone who knew her. She had a gentle spirit, a love for life's simple joys, and a way of making others feel truly cared for.
Candy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe Alphin.
She is survived by her son, Bradley Pike, and his wife Jori of Albertson, NC; her grandchildren, Julie Pike, Cristian (Alex) Pike, Kaila (Austin) Boahn, and Braidyn Pike; and her great-grandson, Jace Boahn, who brought her endless joy. Candy also leaves behind her sisters, Patricia (Derek Tabor) Galetschky, Rhonda (Dee) Wilcox, Denise (Derald) Smith, her brother Archie Mervin, many beloved aunts and extended family members, as well as caring friends and neighbors who meant so much to her.
In accordance with Candy's wishes, no formal service will be held. Her family and friends are encouraged to remember her in their own special ways - through a story, a smile, or a quiet moment of reflection.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro, NC for their care and support during this time.
Donations in Candy's memory may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, whose kindness and dedication meant so much to her and her family.
