Candace Jeanette Chalakee-Jones, 45, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Candace was born on April 1, 1979, in Houston, Texas to Norma Jean (Harjo) and Robert Ray Chalakee Sr. Candace was a proud member of the Muscogee Creek Nation.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Martin Chalakee.
After graduating from Haskell Indian Nations University, Candace moved to Lawton, Oklahoma, where she worked at Apache Casino Hotel and Serco, Inc. She was known for her vibrant personality, beautiful smile, marked by her humor and loving nature. Candace brought joy and laughter to all who knew her, making lasting impressions with her kind and friendly spirit.
Candace was an avid sports fan, always rooting for her favorite teams: the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Houston Texans. She had a great appreciation for music as well as wrestling and enjoyed attending live concerts and sporting events with family and friends.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Justin K. Jones and their beloved dog Raiven, her parents Norma "Tiny" (Harjo) Chalakee and Robert Chalakee; Sr. her brothers, Wendell Harjo, Robert Chalakee Jr., Alex Chalakee, and Thomas Michael Chalakee; and her sister, Cynthia Chalakee and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Pallbearers: Robert Chalakee, Jr., George Donahue, Bryan Jones, George Snyder, Tiffany Campos and Myles Hightower
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 25th, 2024 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E. Trudgeon St., Henryetta, OK 74437
Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00AM Friday, July 26th, 2024 at \integrity Funeral Chapel.
Interment to follow at Hickory Ground I Family Cemetery, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Candace's vibrant spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving a lasting legacy of warmth and laughter.
