CANDACE GANNON Obituary

MUNDELEIN - Candace Gannon, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2022. Candi was born on July 12, 1945, to Ralf and Jean (nee Batten) Peckham in Washington DC. Candi spent much of the early part of her life living in East Lansing, MI, where she also met and married the love of her life, Robert Gannon, on September 5, 1964. A mother of three, Candi took extreme pride in her children (and, later, in her grandchildren) and was known in her younger years to be somewhat of a social butterfly. Albeit referred to as the "Queen," people were drawn to her affable personality and kind disposition. Candi will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, caring mother and devoted friend. Candi is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children, Deanna Bartman (Jim Draper), of Round Lake and Sean (Mary) Gannon, of Crystal Lake; her grandchildren, Megan Bartman, Matt Bartman, Paige Gannon, Alyssa Gannon, Declan Gannon, Morgan Gannon, and Mason Gannon; and her siblings, Pat (Mike) Miller and Jack (Esther) Peckham. Candi was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Jarrett R. Gannon. A celebration of life will be held for Candi on Saturday, July 16, from 2pm until 5pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society. Please visit www.davenportfamily.com to leave an online condolence for her family.
