Candise R. "Candy" Arnold, 60, of Spalding, passed away on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 20, 1962 in Menominee, MI, daughter to Ellsworth and Virginia (Polaski) Anderson. Candy graduated from Menominee High School in 1980 and continued her education at Bay College.
On August 4, 1994, Candy married Thomas L. Arnold in Escanaba.
Candy worked in the dental field for the majority of her career as a dental lab tech and she loved working with kids.
She had a passion for all animals. Candy had a rehabilitation license and would take animals in and nurse them back to health. Candy was a selfless person who always took care of others overlooking her own needs. Having her family gather at the property in Cedar River was time she cherished.
Candy loved music, was very talented instrumentally, and loved to sing. She also enjoyed and was very good on roller skates.
She was of Catholic faith.
Among survivors include her husband, Thomas L. Arnold of Spalding; children, Greg (Jacklyn) Kurtz of Bark River, Tylor Arnold and MaCaela Arnold both of Spalding; grandchildren, Eve, Finn, River, and Graelyn; brother, Gary (Janet) Anderson of Menominee; sister in law, Sandra Anderson; nephew, Jamie (Michelle) Anderson; nieces, Nikki (Chris) Dailey, Heather Anderson, and Christina (Jake) Schnitzler; mother-in-law, Dorothy Arnold; and many loving in-laws and other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Anderson and Larry Anderson; and father-in-law, Doug Arnold.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Because of her love for animals, the family respectfully requests that In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Delta Animal Shelter.
