Candice "Candy" Sue Stevens (Morrison) age 70, of Temecula, passed away on April 11, 2023, after gracefully battling a rare neurological disease. She was a joyful light, with a loving and compassionate spirit and zest for life. She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to meet her, and we take comfort knowing that she is now at peace in the glorious presence of her Savior.

Candy was born a true "California girl" on May 11, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in La Mirada, California, and as a teen began working in beauty salons, styling hair and wiglets and making people feel beautiful. Candy was a homecoming princess and graduated from La Mirada High School in 1970. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Pirate's Cove in Corona Del Mar, by Calvary Chapel Pastor Chuck Smith on December 7, 1970 - when her life truly began! Candy married her husband of nearly 50 years, Ed Stevens, on October 13, 1973. Together with their beloved sons, Jeremy and Joshua, they lived the good life in Canyon Lake starting in 1981 and then on to beautiful Temecula since 1992.

Because Candy was the ultimate "people person" with a commitment to excellence, she was successful in all of her ventures. She worked as administrative secretary for an orthopedic surgery practice for several years. Next, she worked as an assistant to the school principal at Temple Christian School in Perris. Ultimately, Candy was asked to take on the job of principal at Temple Christian, and under her leadership over the course of a decade, the school and its students thrived. While working at Temple, she and Ed purchased a Hallmark store in Lake Elsinore, where Candy loved celebrating life's occasions with her customers. For the past 26 years, Candy dedicated herself solely to her family, raising her boys and supporting Ed with his custom home general contracting business, S&G Custom Builders. She worked hard and never stopped moving! Candy's home was always welcoming, and she and Ed even brought both of their parents to live with them as they lived out their golden years. Together with Ed she hosted visitors, friends old and new, and even opened up their wine country home to host many weddings.

Throughout her life, Candy was her sons' biggest fan. She helped with homework, attended and filmed every sports game, and supported her boys throughout their life and on into their marriages. But, if you knew Candy, you knew that her favorite title was "Grandma." She doted on her grandchildren who were her very "heartbeat." Her granddaughters and grandsons always made her smile - BIG.

Nothing brought Candy more joy than spending time with her family. She also loved traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing other cultures. Her travels included trips to Europe - Germany, England, Switzerland, France, Belgium, and the Far East, visiting Hong Kong and China. Candy loved to cruise and also took many cruises with her family and friends. An avid music lover, Candy enjoyed many types of music, including smooth jazz, praise and worship, opera, golden oldies, and everything in between. Candy relished taking in all the beauty of God's creation - watching hot air balloons soar over her home, stopping to smell the roses, enjoying a beautiful sunset and moments of relaxation by the ocean. Through it all, she never stopped praising the Lord!

We love you MORE...to the moon and back....MOST!

Candy is survived by her husband, Ed Stevens; two sons, Jeremy and Joshua Stevens; daughters-in-love, Jessica and Lindsay; grandchildren Mia, Harper, Josiah and Justus, other extended family members and countless wonderful friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 1:45 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship, 34180 Rancho California Road, Temecula CA 92591 (951) 699-9207.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

Candy´s kids along with my kids, Wade and Aimee Ruhman all went to Temple Christian together and I will ALWAYS remember Candy´s smile. I think she was born with that smile on her face and it NEVER left. Every morning when I would drive into the school yard to drop off Wade and Aimee there it was, THAT SMILE !
God bless you Steven´s family.

Candy was a beautiful person with a beautiful smile and great laugh! We had many great times in high school including vacations to Yosemite and trips to the beach.
Her parents and my parents became good friends during the high school years.
I can still see her in her green Volkswagen bug and even have pictures!
RIP old friend,

I always remember Candy smiling and her laugh was contagious. Candy and I shared some good times while putting together the yearly festival for the kids at Temple Christian. Our kids were all about the same age and, at times, we´re in the same class. Our family sends the most of sincere condolences to you Ed, Jeremy and Joshua and your families. Respectfully, Diane (Ruhman) Nunez and Wade and Aimee Ruhman.

A true example of Woman of Christ...that´s what Candy means to me. As a former student, she was always ready to hear about your day, week, year, plans and anything in between. Teachers/administrators like her were why I always returned to share my life´s achievements with the current school kids. I will always remember her cheering us on in every sporting event, academic decathlon, chapel etc. Rest easy in the arms of our savior my beautiful friend.

Beautiful Candy.
I met Candy when I was 18, she was my MIL's best friend. Through the years she helped me pick out my wedding invitation and attended my wedding. We lived only miles away and enjoyed the same restaurant, Richies Diner.
I will miss her miss her sweet smile and her laughter. I know Candys smiling from above, I have never seen so many hot air balloons in my daily outings.

Candy Cane, as my late wife called her, would give me countless wake up calls as the two would chat loudly early mornings. Both were oh dark 30 risers, with coffee in hand and plenty of laughter. How could I sleep through that?
I miss the Proverb 31 woman making her yays yay and her nays nay. Her feet were swift to do good. What an example. Miss your laugh Candy. Love, Phil

How I loved our sweet Candy! I tear up every time I think of her; her smile, her laugh, her generous heart!
She always knew the right thing to say and the right thing to do. When I think of what a Christian woman should be, I see her face! I´m blessed beyond words to have known her and I look forward to the day we will stand together in heaven, praising our Savior and King!
