Captain Michael Louis St. Sauver, 76, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
He was born on November 24, 1948, in Devils Lake, North Dakota to the late Richard Theodore and Cornelia Emilia Pasolini St. Sauver.
Michael was a proud United States Army veteran where he earned the rank of Sergeant and a dedicated leader at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro.
Michael served as the Assistant Commandant at Fishburne, where he was respected and admired by students and staff alike. While there, he was honored with the rank of Captain, a title he wore with pride.
Outside of his career, Michael had many passions. He loved photography and took beautiful photos. He was an avid fisherman, a lifelong reader, and a big fan of classic Westerns on TV and film.
Most of all, Michael was a devoted husband. He and his wife, Helen, shared over forty-eight years of marriage.
In addition to his loving wife, Helen Elizabeth DeVivi St. Sauver, he is survived by his sons, Stephen Phillip and Michael Joel St. Sauver and his wife, Tayler; his grandson, Grayson Michael St. Sauver; and his sister, Lynn St. Sauver Warren.
Entombment with honors at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin will be announced at a later date.
