Cardell Hall Sr.

Cardell Hall, Sr., was born May 30, 1949, in Pickens, Arkansas, to the late James Hall and Alberta (Jackson) Hall. He was one of 12 children born to their union, seven of whom preceded him in death: Nettie Hall-Butler, Novolia Hall-Tyndall, Mary Hall-Reliford, Teresa Hall- Gilmore, Emma Hall-Harrell, Milton and Lamar Hall.

Cardell attended the Dumas School System, where he received a formal education. At the age of 21 y/o, he was joined in matrimony to Betty (Allen) Hall on September 27, 1971. To their marriage, 1 son and 4 daughters were born. He was a very loving and supportive husband to his wife and children.

Carnell served the community as a Police Officer and Ambulance Driver for the Dumas Municipal Complex for several years. He was employed in the Dumas School System as a Custodial Worker and Bus Driver, where he has a positive impact on the lives of many students. He was never a stranger to hard work, as he held employment for several years at the Mad Butcher Grocery Store until retirement. He later became an entrepreneur and ventured into his own business - The Hall Janitorial Services, in which he managed with his family until his full retirement.

Carnell departed this life on January 21, 2026, at Springs of Pinnacle Mountain Health and Rehabilitation in Little Rock, Arkansas. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 55 years, and his 5 children: Dr. Cardell Hall, Jr. (Mesha) (Bixby, Oklahoma), Paulette Hall (Little Rock, AR), Tamera Hall-Warren (Paul) (Dumas, AR) DeWanda Hall (Dumas, AR), and Cheryl Hall-Williams (Sammy) (Pine Bluff, AR). He leaves to his legacy 13 Grandchildren - Alex Hall, Brittnay Young, Kaylon Reese, Jaylen Callahan, Adria Young, Alaina Hall, Justin Hawthrone, LaVondria Warren, Christina Young, Aaren Hall, Jaiydan Matthews, Jordyn Thomas, and Jaiyleigh Watson. There are 6 Great-Grandchildren - Ava Young, King Perry, Kobe Reese, LaNiyah Martin, ZaNiyah Martin, and Aiden Callahan. Also remaining is his brother Jimmy Hall (Dumas, AR) and three sisters: Icee Hall-Gleeton (Michigan),Ruby Jewel Hall-Brown (Pine Bluff, AR) and Herma Jean Hall-Jackson (Dumas, AR), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
