Carey Anthony "Rickey" Curry

1969 - 2021

Homegoing services remembering the life of Mr. Carey Anthony (Rickey) Curry will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor L. L. Jacobs officiating. Interment will commence immediately following the service in Hall Grove Cemetery. There will be a public viewing for Mr. Curry on Friday, November 12 from 2-7 p.m. at S. M. Goodson Funeral Home Chapel. Professional services interested to S. M. Goodson Funeral Home and Crematory-Talladega.
Carey Anthony (Rickey) Curry was born November 22, 1969, in Talladega, Alabama to Samuel Lee and Ethel Lee Curry.
Mr. Curry was educated in the Talladega County School System where he attended Munford High School. After high school, he furthered his education by attending CACC Community College. Using his training, Mr. Curry established a successful career in welding.
Mr. Curry came to know Christ at an early age at Miracle Revival Temple. Throughout his service within the church, Mr. Curry served as a drummer in the music department. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Curry transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, November 4, 2021, while he was a patient at Citizen Baptist Medical Hospital in Talladega, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memory: fiancee, Kimberly Powell, sons Cyrus Powell and Kamron Sandlin of Munford, AL; mother and father, Samuel Lee and Ethel Lee Curry of Munford, AL; sister, Sandy (Harold) Miller; nephew and niece, LaMarcus and Tiana Miller of Oxford, AL; brothers, Terry Dewayne Curry of Atlanta, GA and Albert David Curry of Birmingham, AL and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
