Carl M. Appler

Carl Matthew Appler "Poppy" age 76 peacefully passed at his home in Milton, NY on June 19, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1948. He is predeceased by his father James M. Appler, Sr., mother Norma R. Appler and brother Gary Appler, Sr.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Deborah Appler, son Todd Appler, Sr. and wife Beverly and son Matthew Appler. Carl is survived by his only grandchild, the light of his eye, "his little peanut" Todd Appler, Jr. He is survived by his brothers James M. Appler, Jr. and wife Kathy, Gael Appler, Sr. and wife Janice. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A lifelong resident of Milton, NY. He was an established business man, owner of C.M. Appler & Sons. Carl was a life member of the Milton Engine Co. No. 1. He was known as the Mayor of Milton.

Through the years he enjoyed time in Lake George with his family and friends. During his retirement he enjoyed long rides and time with his family. Carl was not just a family man, but everyone's friend. If you needed a little advice or just a nice chat you could be sure to find him at the last booth at Stewarts in Milton.

A great piece of advice that you can take way from Carl "It's a great life if we don't weaken".

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.

A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Tuesday morning at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro.
