Over the years he would spend time cutting firewood, taking care of his chickens, driving a tractor, gardening, picking crawlers, playing cards, cutting boughs, the Gaithers, collecting pennies, the Brewers, jigsaw puzzles, bowling and he could not wait for strawberry picking season each and every year, but more so loved the people stopping by to get a stack of firewood, fresh farm eggs, a dozen crawlers or just to check in and say hi. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, however, as the years went on he enjoyed hearing about the successes of his family. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his children, Lisa (Dan) Krautkramer of Marathon, WI; Jeff (Vicky) Bartz of Merrill, WI; Lani (Brad) Stiede of Pulaski, WI; his sister, Marsha Madlung of Tomahawk, WI.
