Carl Ernest Bergner Jr. was born on February 11, 1936 in Webster, MA to his parents Carl Ernest and Muriel (Bosquet) Bergner. He passed away on April 17, 2016 in Fort Myers, FL. He is survived by his children Carl (Kat) Bergner III, Beverly Schaff, Donna (Philip Sr.) Irish, and David (Kitty) Bergner; grandchildren Carla, Nikki, David Glenn, David Jr., Audra, Ronnie Lee, Danny, Daniel, Donovan, Alana, Courtney, Alicia, Philip, and Jesse; 22 great grandchildren; sister Joan "Ginger" Compton; brothers Kenneth (Marcy) Bergner and Robert "Uncle Bobby" Bergner, and many family and friends who will miss him dearly. Carl was born and raised in Webster and graduated from Rogers High School in 1954. He soon enlisted with the US Army Military Police and served for 4 years. He began working with his father at Woolworths Department Store as a manager in Newport. He then began working with the Newport Police Dept. and several years later he then relocated his family to Ft. Myers, FL. He worked for Corbin-Orkin Pest Control. He started his own business building cabinets. He named it Bergner's What-Not Cabinets it was during this time he became a certified kitchen designer (CKD). Then he became a police officer with the Ft. Myers Police Dept. and later worked as security at the Edison Mall. Carl was a generous man who liked to give back to his community. He enjoyed spending time with his boys with the Boy Scouts and served as Scout Master. He was very active with the Edison Kiwanis community and also was a member of the Fort Myers Amateur Radio Club. WD4PPA (SILENT KEY) A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at the St. Michael's Lutheran Church on ------ at------.
