Carl Boblitt

Carl Boblitt, age 75, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025 at his residence. He was born on July 20, 1949 in Nelson County to the late Willie Lee and Virginia VanDyke Boblitt. Carl was a passionate golfer, a great story teller, a connoisseur of fine wines, and excelled at mastering the odds in every situation. He loved to entertain family and friends when they would travel to Las Vegas.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Andrew Rucker, brothers, Bobby, Bill, Frank, and David, and his sister, Martha Raye Ballard.
Carl is survived by his son, Arron Rucker of St. Cloud, FL., his daughter, Chrissy Evans of Louisville, and his grandchildren, Hannah Rucker and Claire Evans. He is also survived by his sisters, Pat Clark of Bardstown and Linda (Ed) Edelen of Bardstown, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is fondly remembered by Joyce Boblitt, his first wife and lifelong friend, and Stephanie Bard, his former wife with whom he shared an important chapter of his life, as well as his closest friends, Junior Puyear, Sam Marrillia, Randy Matthews, Dwight Derringer and Billy Walters.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm with a celebration of life service immediately following at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
