Carl Carver Obituary
December 12, 1949 – October 23, 2024
Bakersfield – Carl Dennis Carver, 74, passed away on October 23, 2024 in Bakersfield, California. Born on December 12, 1949, Carl, affectionately known as Denny, led a life marked by dedication, service and love for his ranch.
Denny was a man of many talents including ranching, welding, mechanicing on old equipment, building and woodcutting. His hands were rarely still and he was well respected in his community for his knowledge and hard work.
Denny served as a medic in the Army during the Vietnam War and loved to share stories about his army adventures during morning coffee or lunch at Hodel's.
A man of diverse interests, Denny had a passion for guns and shooting. He also enjoyed reading and had a very eclectic music library including folk music, opera, and classic country.
He is survived by his wife Greta and his children: McKenna and Katie Carver, Betsy Caver Shelley and husband Russell, Jessica and Courtney Howard, Michael and Karla Carver and Thomas Carver. He also had numerous grandchildren: Regina and Seth Hancock, Samantha Nielsen, Jacob and Katie Carver, Whitney Carver, Camille Carver, Monte Carver, Ari Carver, Katelynn Howard, Luke Carver and Rowdy Carver. And one great-grandchild Caroline Carver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Kathryn Carver and brother Scott Carver.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Glennville on Friday, November 1st at 11:00 am. Food and fellowship will follow at the Greenhorn Mountain Veterans Hall, where friends and family can share in celebrating Denny's life.

Denny & I go back a long ways. He use to work with my Dad, Bill Easton, on Carl's ranch. Sorry for your loss. He may be gone but will be remembered!!!
