Carl Spurlin Dekle

Thank you Sir, for everything you and your fellow soldiers did to liberate the country of my, then teenage, parents in the Netherlands. We were brought up with respect for the people who risked so much in a coutry far away from their own. I can only fathom the price you have paid in doing so. Thank you for giving us our freedom.

I didn´t know Mr. Dekel, but I do remember seeing his appearance on Fox News and feeling such a deep respect for him; he seemed a genuinely sweet and pure soul, which is all too rare in our day. I have infinite appreciation for WWII veterans and I wish I could´ve thanked him for his service and sacrifices or just shook his hand. I didn´t find out about his passing until very recently, but this world will not be the same without him. Though he´s with the Lord now, he will be so terribly missed! Sir, you have my utmost respect and gratitude!

This man is still helping me for keep up the good fight! Once a marine, always a marine like he used to say!

God bless you Carl, we all gonna met in heaven if god allowed. I will not complain, i will fight! We have a future to defend our values: God almighty, freedom, and family!

14 year old from Lithuania here, i saw the news video about Carl talking about the future of the US.
Seeing a man who saw the cruel horrors of the battlefield breaking down in tears is a heart-aching thing to see. Your brothers in the army will remember you as a hero of your country. You're my hero Carl, may you rest peacefully with god.
