Shelia Lorianne Jordan, 65, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born on February 22, 1960, in New York, New York, Shelia was the daughter of the late Melvin and Jimmie Lou Clark. On March 1, 1977, Shelia married the love of her life, Edward Jordan Jr., and together they built a lifetime of love, faith, and family.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, Shelia will be remembered as the peacemaker of her family—a sweet, loving, and gentle soul whose kind heart touched everyone she met. Shelia found great joy in nurturing life, whether tending to her garden with her signature green thumb or caring for the fish in her cherished pond. Her faith guided her, and she was an active member of Kings Chapel Church, where her warmth and quiet strength inspired others.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Jordan Jr.; her children, Eric, Faith, and Hope; her grandchildren, Justin “J.J.”, Brittany, Majesta, and Lisa; great-grandchildren; her brother, Melvin Clark “Baldy”; and her sister, Norma Clark. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Whitten, Mary Hayes, and Martha Ann Scales.
Visitation will be held on February 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service followed by a service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Hattie Harris and Pastor Dwayne Knight.
